Featuring the following films:
- “Hear The Story”(presented by the City of Toronto’s Community Safety Secretariat)
This film is a frank look at the lives of three Toronto youth, describing their struggle with unemployment, discrimination and violence, and how they are taking control of their own lives. - “YouthForce – Sending a Message on HIV/AIDS” (presented by TakingITGlobal)
Be inspired by the work of over 1000 youth delegates from around the world as they come together to shape policy at the XVI International AIDS conference. - “Khaled” (presented by Campaign 2000’s Youth Action Committee)
This groundbreaking film is a story of a feisty 10-year-old boy who lives with his chronically ill, lone mother in a Toronto housing project. After she dies, Khaled tries to keep it a secret, attempting to carry on with his daily life.
Filmmakers from “Hear the Story” and “YouthForce” will be in attendance for a post-film Q & A.
