The Campaign 2000 Youth Action Committee is a youth group working to end child and family poverty in Toronto and Canada. We want to work together to make change in our communities and in the lives of all Canadians.

We raise awareness through street education, toolkits, presentation, guest speaking and other campaigns. We hold monthly meetings (or as needed), usually at the FSA building downtown.

History

YAC was started by youth from the Our Kids Our Future group from Mary Ward CSS, who found out about Campaign 2000 and approached the campaign about getting involved.

Our members come from all over Toronto, from various backgrounds, and belong to many other groups. Most of our members are either high school or university students, and they’re all dedicated to making a difference in their communities.
